The family of Mr. Gary Carpenter, a US Air Force (Ret.) Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services, and the LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
Gary Carpenter, a beloved husband, father, dedicated serviceman, and devout Christian, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, due to natural causes. Born on June 29, 1947, in Oakridge, Oregon, Gary’s life was a testament to the values of faith, family, and service, which he upheld until his last breath at the age of 78.
Gary’s commitment to his country was evident through his 20 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant (Ret). His military career was marked by a steadfast dedication to his fellow servicemen and women, and he carried the discipline and respect he learned in the Air Force throughout his life.
After retiring from the military, Gary channeled his work ethic and integrity into his own business, becoming a respected owner of an Income Tax business. His professional journey was further distinguished by his achievement of an Enrolled Agent certification, which enabled him to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Clients and colleagues alike will remember him not only for his expertise but also for his humor and generosity in sharing his knowledge.
Gary’s educational background included a high school diploma and some college, which laid the foundation for his successful career. However, it was his faith that truly guided him. A devout Catholic, Gary’s life reflected his belief in the teachings of Christ. He was an active member of his church community, where his kind spirit and faith-filled outlook inspired many.
Outside of work and church, Gary found solace and joy in his hobbies. He was an avid fisherman, often found casting lines for Redfish and Speckled Trout at the coast or journeying to Alaska in pursuit of salmon. In his younger years, Gary was also passionate about SCUBA diving and underwater photography, exploring the depths of the ocean with the same enthusiasm he applied to all aspects of his life.
Gary’s sense of humor, generosity, and strong faith were the cornerstones of his character. He was the kind of man who would light up a room with his wit and warm any heart with his kindness. His legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his wife, Nga Le, his late wife, Bunny Carpenter, and his children, Julie Carlton, Gina Warren, and Joe Carpenter, who will continue to honor his memory by living out the values he instilled in them.
Though Gary has departed from this earthly realm, the imprints of his laughter, wisdom, and unwavering faith remain with all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Gary Carpenter, we do so with the assurance that he is now in the loving embrace of our Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love and service that will never be forgotten.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
