“VERY SHORT NOTICE”
US ARMY RETIRED VETERAN – VIETNAM WAR
The family of Mr. James West, a US Army (Ret) Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services, and the LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
James M. West was born October 21, 1941, to the late James West Sr. and Willa Mae Oliver West in Gary Indiana. He graduated in 1961 from Frolbel High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army the same year. He married Jocasta and to this union three children were born: Twana, Eric, and Harrison.
He served twenty-two years of active duty which included two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea and France. He was a decorated soldier with an Army service Ribbon, National Defense Services Medal, Parachutist Badge, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service medal (w/4 Bronze Service Stars, Army Commendation Medal (w/ Oak Leaf Cluster), and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea).
After retiring from the Army as a Staff Sergeant and relocating to San Antonio, he joined New Creation Christian Fellowship, he rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized. He was a faithful member of the Worship Council, Master’s Men’s Ministry, and custodial duties around the church. He met and married his beautiful, loving wife, Teresa West, as choir members.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Twana West and son Eric West, and sisters: Jacqueline and Jevida.
He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife Teresa; one son, Harrison; stepson, Victor; and two grandchildren that he cherished as his own, Joseph Simon and Alexandria Simon- Nixon; two sisters, Janice Fountain (Grover), Jennifer Barnett (Ricky); one brother, Jarett West, and other grandchildren, great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
