“SHORT NOTICE”
US MARINE CORPS./ARMY VETERAN – VIETNAM WAR
The family of Mr. Clyde Lee Bonnelycke, a US Marine Corps./Army Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
Master Sergeant Clyde Lee Bonnelycke, passed away peacefully on November 16th, 2024 at his residence in Lytle, Texas at the age of eighty-four years. He was born on September 21st, 1940 in Honolulu, Hawaii to the late Major (Ret) Carl C. Bonnelycke and the late Ruby Kapualoke Castro.
Clyde spent most of his childhood in Tacoma, Washington with his father, stepmother, (Josephine) and two (Carl and Joan) of his five siblings. In 1958, at age seventeen, Clyde enlisted in the Marine Corp (USMC) and served ten years. He left the USMC in June 1968 and in September 1968, decided to re-enlist in the Army (USA) for an additional nineteen years of service. He retired in April 1988 after serving a total of 29.75 years. Clyde was a proud Marine and Infantry Man who served the United States with honor and dedication resulting in a remarkable and decorated military career. While in the USMC and USA, Clyde served in Vietnam in seven different campaigns which awarded him three Silver Stars, four Bronze Stars, and two Purple Hearts.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Betsey-Ann Bonnelycke, brother Walter Earl Bonnelycke, son Joseph Lee Carl Bonnelycke, stepson Gene Haagenson, adopted daughter U’ilani Bonnelycke, four grandsons, one granddaughter, two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces and nephews whom all adored and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his brother, Carl (Bobo) Bonnelycke, and sisters, Ruby Currier, Helene Chang, and Joan Kema.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
