The family of Mr. David Shodrock, a US Marine Corps. Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services, and the walking procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

David F. Shodrock was born on November 10, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away on September 30, 2026, in Adkins, Texas, at the age of 77.

David married the love of his life, Charlotte Shodrock, on December 6, 1969. They were married for 55 years and shared a lifetime of memories together until Charlotte passed away in 2024.

David proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1969. He served as a Lance Corporal and spent much of his military service in active combat, including during the Tet Offensive. His time in the Marines was an important part of his life and something he carried with him throughout the years.

After his military service, David began a long career with CPS Energy, where he worked as a pipeline foreman. He was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and in providing for his family.

David is survived by his daughters, Shelia Stanzione (Jeff), Stacy Gundy (Dwayne), and Stephanie Koenig (Mark Mattox); his grandchildren, Brett Stanzione, Bailey Stanzione, Garrett Gundy, Grant Gundy, and Brodie Koenig; and his great-granddaughter, Olivia Stanzione.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Charlotte Shodrock, and several siblings.

David was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a hardworking man who lived life his own way. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication to his family, and the many memories he made with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
