“EXTREMELY SHORT NOTICE”

US ARMY VETERAN – KOREAN WAR

The family of Mr. Jose O. Reschman, a US Army Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

Jose Oscar Reschman was called home to the Lord July 11, 2024. He was 89 years old. He was born in Alpine, Texas on September 11, 1934.

Jose, known to most as Oscar, served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed singing, dancing and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, meeting new people and loved to travel. He went on many trips and adventures, creating memories he cherished. He took pleasure in the little things like watering his lawn and taking care of his garden. Jose Oscar also enjoyed riding his scooter and never turned down a cup of coffee and good conversation. He will be missed tremendously.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus, and Sofia Reschman; siblings Willie Reschman, Ezila “Chica” Rodriguez and Jose Arturo Reschman; brothers in law Pete Aranda and Gil Saiza; first wife Rosa O. Reschman and his son Joe O. Reschman Jr.

Jose Oscar is loved and will be missed by his wife Fransisca Reschman; son Gabriel Reschman, daughter Sofie Gatica (Mario); step son Juan Manuel Farias; granddaughter Valerie Reschman Alvarez (Henry); step grandsons Roberto Farias, Juan Farias, Jesus Farias, Nelson Farias; siblings Arabella Aranda, Elisa Padilla, Ella Hardy, Jesse L. Reschman, Irmalinda Saiza, Emma Delia Reschman, sister-in-law Natalia Reschman; and numerous extended family and friends.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.

2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts

EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.

At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
