US AIR FORCE VETERAN

The family of Mr. Steven Hussey, a US Air Force Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

Steven Lee Hussey, 69, of Floresville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was born on April 6, 1956, to Milton Hussey and Barbara Hurst in England.

Steve went to John Jay high school and his senior year they moved and he graduated from Southwest High School in 1974. He joined the USAF in 1977, where he was a helicopter mechanic and served for 6 years. Shortly after leaving the Air Force, he went to St. Philips College where he received an upholstery certification. He then went on to work for Granada Retirement Community for 20 years as their bookkeeper and head of security. After retiring from Granada, he was hired as a director for cleaning service on Lackland Air Force Base. Until he wanted to further venture out and start his own business Steven & Sons Services where he pretty much did any handy work that was needed.

While Steve was in the Air Force, he earned a brown belt in taekwondo and was very proud of it. He lived in Montana after tech school with his dog Eric which he loved so much and always talked about going back

Steve enjoyed working on his land or on the property any chance he got. As well as, upholstering a new project that came up. He looked forward to pretty days on getting to ride his Harley any chance he had. Anyone that knew Steve, knew his love for animals and love for everyone around him. Steve would drop anything and everything he was doing to help his family when they needed it. He was our best friend and he will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Barbara Hussey and brother, Edward Hussey.

Steven is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gina Hussey; father, Milton Hussey; children, Danny Lerma (Lorrie), Felicia Sada (Philip), Collin Hussey (Savannah), Matthew Hussey, Adam Hussey (Vanessa); brothers, Darren Hussey (Jennifer), Drew Hussey (Len), ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
