US ARMY RETIRED VETERAN – VIETNAM WAR

The family of Mr. Stephen Prescod, a US Army (Ret.) Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

Pastor Stephen Edward Prescod, 82, of Cibolo, Texas peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on May 3, 2026 in Live Oak, Texas.

Born on September 18,1943 in Georgetown, Guyana, Pastor Prescod was the beloved son of William Francis Prescod and Pearl Elizabeth Prescod. He received his early education at Carmel Roman Catholic School in Georgetown, Guyana. In 1971, Pastor Prescod relocated to the United States and was drafted into the U.S. Army. He married Carolyn Chaffen on June 4, 1988 in San Antonio, Texas.

Pastor Prescod completed college coursework in Business Management at St. Philip’s College and also completed many years of advanced military leadership training while serving in the United States Army. He served as a Combat Field Medic for 24 years, received many accolades and awards, and was promoted to the highest enlisted rank of Sergeant Major. During this time, he answered the call of God in his life and became an ordained minister. After his Army retirement, he went into full time ministry and became the founding Pastor of Church of the Firstborn, SA in Schertz, Texas. Pastor Prescod continued in the ministry full time as a spiritual leader, adviser and encourager to many until he transitioned to heaven.

Pastor Stephen E. Prescod is survived by his loving and devoted wife Carolyn and his beloved children Shelly, Paula, Sharice, Ede, Jacqueline, Lloyd, Loretta, Anthony, June; sons-in-law John and CJ; daughter-in-law Kathy and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his adoring sister Cicely, loving brothers Charles and Lenox, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.

2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts

At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
