The family of Mr. Ruben Aldaz, a US Army Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services, and the LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
Ruben Avila Aldaz, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, soldier, and devoted public servant, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at home in New Braunfels Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
Ruben was born on April 13, 1950, in Barstow, Texas, to the late Jose Aldaz and Felicita Avila Aldaz. From a young age, he carried a strong sense of duty, honor, and love for others-qualities that would define his life and service. Ruben proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his deep patriotism and respect for service. Following his military service, Ruben continued his lifelong dedication to protecting and serving his community as a police officer. He retired after 33 years of honorable and distinguished service, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, courage, and compassion. To those who worked alongside him and to the many lives he touched, Ruben was known as a steady presence, a trusted protector, and a man who led by example.
Above all, Ruben was a family man. He cherished time spent with his loved ones and found his greatest joy in being a father and grandfather. His strength, guidance, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Felicita Aldaz. He is survived by his children, Vanessa Bernal Johnson (Norris), Luis Aldaz (Marcie), Doris Aldaz, and Jered Aldaz; his grandchildren, NaDorian, Nadrien, Nylayia, Mallorie, Bryar, Gianna; his brothers, Manuel, and Luis; and his sisters, Elizabeth, and Adella, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Ruben Avila Aldaz will be remembered for his selfless service, his unwavering devotion to family, and the lasting impact he made through a life lived with honor and love.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
