US ARMY – MIA/KIA – KOREAN WAR
The family of Private First-Class Arthur Aaron Clifton, a US Army -MIA/KIA, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Private First-Class Arthur Aaron Clifton, who departed this life on December 11, 1950, while serving on active duty with the United States Army during the North Korean War. Arthur was classified as Missing in Action (MIA) and later classified as Killed in Action (KIA). His remains were identified in 2024. Born on March 6, 1933, in Los Lunas, New Mexico, Arthur led a life marked by his dedication to his country and his love for his family.
In his short time on this earth, Arthur demonstrated an unwavering commitment to serving others, displaying courage and selflessness as he answered the call to defend the values and freedoms we hold dear. He is remembered not only for his sacrifice but also for the warmth he brought to the lives of those around him.
Arthur is survived by his beloved sister, Lydia Clifton Holland (Devine), who cherishes his memory and will forever honor his legacy. As a son, brother, and uncle, he was a source of pride and inspiration, and his spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of his loved ones.
Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Isabell Clifton, and brothers Albert, David Andrew, Joe Jr., and Charles.
In remembrance of Arthur, may we all carry forward the values he embodied and the love he shared. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on in the stories we tell and the memories we hold close.
