US AIR FORCE RETIRED VETERAN

The family of Mr. Paul Charron, a US Air Force (Ret.) Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

Deacon Paul Richard Charron, age 83 passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.

Paul Richard Charron was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Albert Charron and Lucille Ogaard Charron; his brothers: Dennis Charron and Timothy Charron, and countless other beloved family members from both his and his wife’s families.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Olga Quiroga Charron; his daughters: Kimberly Charron and Victoria Charron; his son: Paul Matthew Charron; his daughter-in-law: April Tracy; his grandchildren: Kenneth DeRemer III, Connor DeRemer (Victoria) and Phoebe Charron, Adalyn Charron (Paul); his brothers: Robert Charron (Sally) and Michael Charron (Doris); his sisters: Deb Sjoberg (Bill) and Diane Maaske (Larry).

Paul was born in Crookston, MN and was known as Butch to his family. He joined the United States Air Force (USAF) after high school. In the USAF, he worked in Intelligence which brought him to San Antonio, TX where he met his wife, Olga. They traveled together until they had children and raised their family in San Antonio. Paul retired from the USAF as a CMSgt after serving our country for 26 years

Paul worked for Northeast Baptist Hospital for 14 years and was excellent in his position as patient advocate. He led with compassion and empathy when assisting patients and their families.

He was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church for decades in many roles such as CCD teacher, Eucharistic Minister, marriage sponsor along with Olga, and Director of Religious Education.

He was a 3rd Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and embraced their principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

Paul was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in 2002. He baptized, married, and presided over funeral services for so many throughout the years.

Paul loved his whole family, especially his grandchildren. He lived an exemplary life of service – for God, his family, his church, his community, and our country.

Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts

At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
