CONFIRMED: Kevin Powell, Veteran, US Air Force (15-26) 26 Jan 26 @ Holy Rosary Catholic Church | San Antonio | Texas | United States

US AIR FORCE VETERAN

The family of Mr. Kevin Powell, a US Air Force Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services, and the NON-LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

Kevin Powell was born on June 21, 1950, and he passed away on December 26, 2025.

Kevin Powell was part of a proud military family consisting of his father Angus “Sonny” Powell (Navy) and Uncle Raymond Powell (Army) from the East Coast Connecticut, North New Jersey. Kevin enlisted into the U.S. Air Force on November 28, 1983, and he was Honorably Discharged on November 27, 1987. While in the Air Force he was stationed at Lackland AFB, McGuire AFB, final stop Bayonne Military Ocean Terminal. He will be remembered for the utmost respect for Top Brass and Veterans who were down on hard times he offered the respect all Veterans deserved; in exchange for the sacrifices for our Country.

He was instrumental in influencing Niece and Nephews to join the military. Kevin saw no challenges or hurdles he lived by this saying “Carry on Airman” he learned early on, do not accept defeat, try another way …but do not quit. This mindset he applied to his 14-year journey with chronic illness, staying true to his Military mantra and loved ones with his generous spirit and smile.

In conclusion the following embodies Kevin’s spirit: “Being a soldier is more Courage; it’s sacrificing yourself for something greater than yourself—-Unknown
