US AIR FORCE VETERAN

The family of Mr. David P. Zamudio, a US Air Force Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard Riders at the LEO escorted procession and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

David ” Dave” Perez Zamudio was called home to our lord on June 10th, 2024, at the age of 73, after a short illness. Dave was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 7th, 1951, to Esequiel M. Zamudio and Minnie Perez Zamudio. He will be united in heaven with his parents and son, Ezekiel (Zeke) David Zamudio.

Dave graduated from Grant High School in Sacramento, California and served his country in the United States Air Force. He enlisted into the United States Air Force on 24 May 1971. Upon completion of entry level training at Lackland Air Force Base San Antonio, Texas; Zamudio was assigned as a Radio Operator and was attached to communication groups across Europe. He rose to the rank of Sergeant. Upon completion of his honorable and faithful service to his country, Sgt. Zamudio was Honorably Discharged on 29 April 1975. He later was employed by the Baptist Medical Center and VIA Metropolitan Transit. He loved working outdoors and later opened his own landscaping business.

Dave’s memory will forever live in the hearts of his loving wife Lisa Martin, brother Thomas (Rose) Zamudio, Sr., two sisters Teresa and Beatrice, niece Stephanie (Epicmenio) Jasso, nephew Thomas John Zamudio, Jr, great-nephew E. Tristan Jasso, III, nieces Laura Higgins and Monica Knowles, and many other family members and beloved friends.

Dave cherished spending time with his family and friends. Anyone who met him never forgot his infectious smile, kind heart, quick wit, and passion for all types of music, boxing, animals, and fishing with his friends. Our beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
