The family of Mr. David Salas, a US Marine Corps. Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services and LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
David Salas born on December 4, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2023, at the age of 69. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isidro Salas, and Guadalupe Guillen; brothers, Rudy Salas, and Antonio “Tony” Salas.
He is survived by his former wife, Emma Salas; daughter, Rosemarie Wood, and Brad Smith; sons, David Anthony Salas Jr., Antonio A. Salas and wife, Rebecca Salas; brother, Reuben Salas and wife, JoAnn; sisters, Rosie Blaha and Olga Ybarra; 5 grandchildren, David J. Wood, Emalie R. Wood, Sophia Castro, Noah Salas, and Ray Salas. Extended family and friends.
David was affectionately known as “Stoney” or “Pepe” by those who knew him. He also served his country, in the United States Marine Corps, even in his last moments he said, “Once a Marine, always a Marine.” His love for motorcycles, particularly Harley Davidsons, is a reminder of his
legacy to us. The love for his children and family was extremely important to him. David was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Spurs, so you know what that meant when the season started- enjoying the game with some Lonestar beer.
David –A father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend – you will be missed more than words can say. And of course, you will always be remembered and loved. Thank you for enriching our lives. Our hearts break over your absence, but your legacy lives on through us. Semper Fi.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
