The family of Mr. Antonio A. Madero, Sr., a US Army Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services and LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
Antonio A. Madero, a beloved father, grandfather, and World War II veteran, passed away peacefully in his San Antonio home on November 7, 2023, having celebrated his 100th birthday. Born on September 28, 1923, in New Braunfels, Texas, Antonio lived a life marked by selflessness, courage, and boundless love.
Antonio was the son of the late Miguel and Elvia Madero, and he was the brother of the late Raul, Estella, Guadalupe, and Miguel Jr. He is survived by his sister, Gloria Madero. Antonio’s unwavering devotion to his family was evident in his 67-year marriage to his beloved wife, Emma Madero. Together, they raised five children: Antonio Madero Jr., Elvira Garcia (Juan), Cynthia Ferguson, Mary Esther Gines, and Alejandro Madero (Janne). Antonio was also a proud grandfather to Monique (Andy), Antonio Madero III, Kevin, Alexander, Veronica, Daisy, Paul, Kathy, Alexis, Ariana, Courtney, and Renee, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In his early years, Antonio served his country with bravery and honor as a World War II veteran of the US Army. He enlisted on February 3, 1943, he was Honorably Discharged on October 12, 1946. He did tours in New Guinea and Philippines Campaigns during World War II His courageous spirit and dedication were not only evident on the battlefield but also in his personal life and work. Antonio was a tireless worker, always seeking to provide for his family and improve their lives. His golden heart and hardworking hands were always busy, whether he was fixing something around the house or spending time with his family.
Antonio was an avid fisher and a devoted fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. His passion for these pastimes was infectious and brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to share these moments with him. Antonio’s interest and dedication were not only limited to his hobbies. He was a man who put everyone’s needs before his own, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His selfless nature and kindness radiated to all those he encountered, making him a beloved figure in his community and family.
Antonio’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and unyielding spirit. His optimistic outlook and zest for life never faltered, even in the face of adversity. Antonio’s legacy is one of love, courage, and selflessness, values that he passed on to his children and grandchildren.
As we remember Antonio, we honor a life lived to the fullest, a life marked by service, love, and dedication. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the power of love, the importance of family, and the strength of the human spirit. Antonio A. Madero’s life was a century-long testament to the power of these values, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
