The family of Mr. Ramiro Ramirez, Jr., a US Marine Corps. (Ret.) Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services, and the LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ramiro Ramirez Jr., who entered eternal rest on June 20, 2026, at the age of 72. Ramiro was a devoted father, proud United States Marine Corps veteran, faithful servant of God, and cherished friend whose life was defined by faith, service, and unwavering love for others.
Ramiro honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 23 years, retiring after a distinguished military career marked by honor, courage, and commitment. Even after his military service, he continued to dedicate his life to serving others with humility and compassion.
Following his military retirement, Ramiro worked as a Warehouse Foreman for Goodman’s AC/Heating Warehouse and later for Standard Supplies AC/Heating Warehouse. He also faithfully served at the Northside ISD Food Service Warehouse, where he retired after years of dedicated service. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of his coworkers through his leadership, strong work ethic, and willingness to help anyone in need.
A man of deep and unwavering faith, Ramiro was a devoted member of his church and lived his life as a servant of Christ. He participated in numerous A.C.T.S. Retreats, ministering to countless men and women, including those who were incarcerated and fellow military veterans. His work with Military Veterans for Christ (MVFC) held a special place in his heart. Through his testimony, compassion, and joyful spirit, he inspired many to strengthen their faith, discover hope, and experience God’s love. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved—even those he had just met.
Known as the life of every gathering, Ramiro’s warm smile, contagious laughter, and generous heart brought joy wherever he went. His kindness, sense of humor, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.
Ramiro was preceded in death by his beloved father, Ramiro Ramirez Sr.; his mother, Francesca Hernandez; and his sister, Gloria Franco.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his first wife and the mother of his three children, Diana Moya Ramirez; his loving children, Sabrina Tovar and husband Jorge, Valerie Ramirez Pollom (USN Veteran) and husband Patrick (Ret. USA Veteran), and Ramiro Moya Ramirez (Ret. USMC Veteran) and wife Laura, along with his beloved dog, Brianna🐾.
He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Javier Ramon Benavidez, currently serving in the United States Navy; Lulani Miguel Pollom, currently serving in the United States Navy; Keoni Ramsey Pollom; Ramiro Terran Ramirez IV; Kaylyn Paige Ramirez; and Nora Mae Lejia Ramirez. His grandchildren were among his greatest blessings, and he took immense pride in each of them.
He is also survived by his siblings, Xavier Ramirez Sr. (Ret. USA Veteran) and wife Patricia, Yolanda Gonzales and husband Roy, Pete Martinez and wife Ventura, and Sebastian Laque and wife Lucy. He will also be deeply missed by his beloved nephews, Jorge Franco, Xavier Ramirez Jr., Daniel Ramirez (USMC Veteran), and Christopher Gonzales, as well as many extended family members, fellow veterans, church family, and countless dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Ramiro’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, honorable service, unconditional love, and boundless compassion. He devoted his life to God, his country, his family, and his community, leaving behind an example of selfless service and steadfast faith that will continue to inspire generations to come.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father, where there is everlasting peace.
He will forever remain in our hearts, deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
