PART 2 CONFIRMED

HONOR FLIGHT SAN ANTONIO #008

Honor Flight Network San Antonio (HFNSA) is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s Veterans for all their sacrifices. HFN transports our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, an estimated 640 WWII veterans die each day. Our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out.

"Honor Flight #8 San Antonio, will host 40 veterans - 12-WWII, 15-Korean War, and 13-Vietnam War. Our most mature is 100 years young, along with another 99 year young vet; one (1) female Vietnam veteran (and her Vietnam veteran husband); a Korean War POW - 21 months, along with many other interesting veterans."

Again, we would be honored to have the SA PGR, and family members, join others to welcome our veterans home from their "trip of a lifetime".

As noted by Court B. Van Sickler, Chair: Due to the early nature of their departure on the 4th of May, it is not feasible to have a "Send Off" the morning of departure (0400 arrival to depart 0550).

Court additionally noted how much the WWII Veterans enjoyed meeting and visiting with the PGR members at the M&G for HF #5, #6, and #7.
