[2017] [AUSPGR] Update, Bud Barton Birthday and Meet and Greet, Taylor, TX, 29 Oct 2017

UPDATED TIMELINE

The restaurant suggested we arrive a bit later to avoid the lunch rush. And the weather is looking nice!

Riders, those of you who have attended mission for a few years will know Bud Barton. For many years Bud was a fixture at missions on his trike flying the US and Texas Flags. More importantly, Bud is a WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veteran.

Bud is no longer able to ride, but that doesn't mean he is not still a brother in the PGR. His daughter has invited us to help Bud celebrate his 91st birthday, so why not have a long overdue Austin PGR meet and greet as well.

Date: Sunday, 29 October 2017, otherwise known as Bud Barton Day.

Staging Location: Condra Funeral Home in Taylor has graciously permited us to use their parking lot to stage. They are located down the street from Bud's house.

12:45 pm - 1:15 pm Staging
1:15 pm - Briefing
1:25 pm KSU to head down 6th street about 6 blocks to Bud's house.

Wx: 74 deg, sunny, a beautiful day to ride.

Notes: Fly your big flags! We'll park in front of Bud's house, present him with a PGR plaque, and sing him Happy Birthday. If he's willing and able he'll join us as we take a short ride over to MasFajitas in Taylor for lunch. FYI each rider buys his own lunch (except for Bud, of course!),
