Ladies and Gentlemen,

I just want to take a moment to thank you all for your support and participation this year in our Homeless and Unaccompanied Veteran Burial Program. For yesterday’s service, the notice was short and it was freezing, yet we had an excellent showing of support and respect for a man none of us knew. The fact that he served our country was all the information that was needed for this community to ensure Mr. Bobby Hill received the dignified burial he deserved. His former caretaker and fellow church members who were present and received the flag were so very appreciative of the beautiful send-off for their friend.

As we all quickly went back to our vehicles to depart the cemetery, I could not help but admire the rows of beautiful wreaths that were laid over the weekend and to feel grateful to be a part of this community. Thank you all so much. May you all enjoy a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones.
