US AIR FORCE – ACTIVE DUTY DEATH
The family of Mr. Perry Bailey, Jr., active duty T/Sgt US Air Force, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard Riders at the services, LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one.

T/Sgt Perry Bailey, Jr., 36, was born on August 30, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, to the union of late Perry Bailey, Sr., and Mammie Sistrunk. Perry was one of five siblings. He graduated from Kemp High School in Kemp, Texas in 2002. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He leaves as his legacy and blessed to have four children named Perry Bailey III, Andre Bailey, Reuben Quiroz and Taylor Bailey.

T/Sgt Bailey loved his children and always enjoyed teaching them about life, playing basketball and running track with them. The children always looked forward to going to the movies and all types of activities with their father. T/Sgt Bailey was a “poor sport” while playing the videos games with his brothers and children. Whenever he was losing the game, he would unplug the television or just tell them to pause the game so that the entire game would have to be restarted over.

T/Sgt Bailey entered the United States Air Force in 2005 and served his country with honor and faithfulness as a Paramedic for the U.S. Air Force for 15 years. From May 2005 to August 2014, he was stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He was also assigned to Anderson Air Force Base, Guam from August 2014 to September 2017 and he was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, from September 2017 to the present. T/Sgt Bailey climbed through the military ranks to obtain the grade of Technical Sergeant and was highly respected as a Paramedic Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of medical education and training.

T/Sgt Bailey was kind and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem. He was a wonderful mentor to the younger medics at Barksdale Air Force Base. T/Sgt Bailey was well loved not only by Air Force personnel, local Fire and Police Departments in the Shreveport and Bossier City areas, he was loved by his family and friends. He loved to tell jokes to cheer people up and his laughter was contagious.

Perry loved to run and participated in several marathons. His marathons consisted of the 13.1 Half Mile marathon in Shreveport, Louisiana called “The Heroes Marathon”, the 26.2 miles marathon called “The Chevron Marathon” in Houston, Texas, and the Little Rock Marathon in Arkansas which consisted of 13.1 miles. T/Sgt Perry was awarded many medals for these marathons.

T/Sgt Bailey leaves to cherish his memory: Mother Mammie Sistrunk, Brothers Lowell Dansby, Jr., Jacarri Culberson, Terrence Sistrunk (Meghan), Sister Mauricia Sistrunk, nephews Elijah Bradford and Noah James and a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Bailey, Sr.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.

2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

4. Cemeteries are hallowed ground. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Show our respect to ALL who are in attendance.

5. If riding/driving a motorcycle on Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, which is located within a Military Installation, you will need to wear closed toe shoes, long sleeve shirt, gloves, DOT approved helmet, eye protection, long pants, and boots/shoes that cover the ankle.

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
