SHORT NOTICE, WWII VETERAN OF JAPAN CAMPAIGN

The family of Jesse Valdez Renteria Jr., a World War II Veteran of the US Navy serving aboard the USS Menifee APA 202, has requested the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard Riders in the funeral services, procession (LEO Supported), interment, and rendering of military honors of their loved one.

Jesse Renteria actively participated in the invasion of Okinawa, Japan, and pushed forward to Nagasaki, ending after "Fat Man" was deployed on Nagasaki. Once honorably discharged from the Navy Jesse became a Fire Fighter in the San Antonio Fire Department and rose to the rank of Captain before retiring.
