Patriot Guard Group Prayer
Lord, we ask your blessing today as we gather to pay our respects to another American serviceman/woman/hero. It is our duty and our honor to gather together to honor this fellow American. Give strength to his/her family in their time of grief. Keep watch over our troops deployed through out the world and also here at home, as well as their families. The price of freedom is a cost bourn by few for the benefit of many. Too often, we take for granted the freedoms that we enjoy, and it is at times like this that we realize that freedom is never free. We would also ask your blessing on us as we travel back to our homes, and we thank you, Lord for this day. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
WHEN A SOLDIER CRIES
It’s not often that that you’ll see,
Tears come to a soldiers eyes.
When he holds his newborn baby in his arms.
When in his arms, a buddy dies.
Those are times, when unashamed,
you just might see a soldier cry.
When a young soldier says good-bye
You’ll seldom ever see him cry.
His eyes are dry, but deep inside,
If you could hear his heart, you would hear it cry.
Away from home and love he must go,
To fight for reasons, he may not know.
The tears of joy, flow endlessly,
As home again to his love he’ll be.
When Taps is played and our flag flies high
It’s hard to hold back the tears of pride.
When he hears ‘The Star Spangled Banner’,
or ‘America the Beautiful’
When he honors a fallen friend,
These are times when with head held high,
You just might see a soldier cry.

“WE’LL BE THERE”
We are the Patriot Guard
We’ll be there to send you off.
We’ll be there to welcome you home.
We’ll be there to watch your backs
And help your loved ones while you’re gone.
We are the Patriot Guard
We’ll be there, be it hot or cold.
Flags of honor, we’ll proudly hold.
Through rain and sleet, we will ride,
To pay respect for those who died.
We are the Patriot Guard
We come from all walks of life.
Factory workers, farmers, doctors,
teachers, old soldiers and soldier’s wives.
We’ll be there to celebrate with you.
We’ll be there to hold on to.
We are the Patriot Guard
People ask us, why we do what we do.
The answer is simple.
It’s for our soldiers,
And it’s the right thing to do.
We are, the Patriot Guard.

PATRIOT GUARD
(Sing silently, read silently , Sing silently, read silently)
Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
~~~~~~
And so with a roar
they thunder into town
and windows shudder
from the power of their sound
Patriot Riders
Those forgotten souls
whom guard our loved ones
protection thier goal
The flags flutter
in silent waves
and Riders gather
to salute the Brave
~~~~~~
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
~~~~~~
Quiet they stand
with hands positioned
Flags on stands
as commissioned
"Present.. Arms!"
Their battle cry
"Order.. Arms!"
a slow Goodbye
~~~~~~
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
~~~~~~
Warriors most
Patriots all
They gather
at each Brothers call
Their mission to ride
Their duty to protect
the chosen few,
whom..."Pass in review!"
~~~~~~
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Patriot Guard funeral Escort
Today is sunny: with three dozen bikes,
some decorated cars, a pair of trikes,
two dozen Marines: all of the family
and toddlers to set their Daddy free
into the Great Beyond beyond the sky
where loved ones send their veterans who die.
Below our feet the stones give way to grass
where they are neatly trimmed; and as we pass
the names of strangers stare into the air
and we look back, wondering who lies there.
I won't step on a grave--I'll walk around
so not to insult those within the ground.
We ride at funerals honoring those vets,
brave men and women we have never met.

The Patriot Guard Riders
Urgent mission request: A Hero is down, kick-stands up!
The Patriot Guard Riders bring another Hero home.
We have felt the thunder in our chest
When one hundred riders go down the street.
we have walked in the fields of stone
Where families cry and Heroes sleep.
Urgent mission request: A Hero is down, kick-stands up!
The Patriot Guard Riders bring another Hero home.
For an American Hero who paid the ultimate sacrifice;
To the passing of an American Veteran, we stand a Flag Line.
Standing with five hundred or just five;
Honoring their sacrifice, no matter the time.
Urgent mission request: A Hero is down, kick-stands up!
The Patriot Guard Riders, Standing for those who stood for us.”
For hours we stand to show our respect.
We will stand along the highway in 100 degree heat.
I’ve seen riders cry for someone they did not know.
We stand in the snow, and the rain and the sleet.
Urgent mission request: A Hero is down, kick-stands up!
TThe Patriot Guard Riders, Standing for those who stood for us.”
The price of our freedom is not free.
Some have fallen, though many keep the fight;
We turn on the thunder for all uninvited guests
Shielding a grieving family from all that blight.
Urgent mission request: A Hero is down, kick-stands up!
The Patriot Guard Riders, our Hero’s shield.
Tears, reverence, honor and respect
Are but a few of the things we never forget.
Urgent mission request: A Hero is down, kick-stands up!
The Patriot Guard Riders bring another Hero home.

As I Sit In Heaven
As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
