The family of Lee Hernandez, a terminally ill US Army Veteran, requests the attendance and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard Riders in a visitation and drive by procession at the family’s residence (location undisclosed at this time, issued to RC) and enjoy a BBQ with Lee and his friends.

Lee is terminally ill and recently blinded by his illness as noted by his wife, Ernestine Hernandez:

“Lee Hernandez, who is under hospice care at his home in New Braunfels, Texas, has continuous strokes that have affected his vision and cognitive abilities. The 47-year-old’s body is deteriorating despite three brain surgeries, according to his wife, Ernestine Hernandez. Doctors have not been able to pinpoint a cause for Lee’s illness, and said there is nothing more they can do but make him comfortable.”

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans. (CAGES WELCOME)

2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.

**3. There is a BBQ being hosted by a car club, they have requested if you plan to eat please make a cash donation prior to doing so. All proceeds will be donated to the family upon completion of the event! (YES, everyone has been requested to do so)
