The family of Mr. James F, Winters, a US Army Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.
Mag. James Franklin Winters (Jimmy) age 70, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Surprise, Arizona. Born on September 26, 1955, in Chateauroux, France.
Jimmy lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his community. A proud graduate of Dillard McCollum High School in 1974, Jimmy went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1981. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a life of service and teaching.
Jimmy served with distinction in the United States Army for 22 years, including 11 years on active duty and another 11 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. During his military career, he completed a tour in Germany and was honored with the Meritorious Service Medal for his exemplary contributions. Retiring as a Major, Jimmy carried forward the values of discipline and leadership that defined his time in uniform.
After concluding his military service, Jimmy dedicated himself to education. He spent a decade teaching elementary school students in the Lytle Independent School District in Texas. His passion for teaching and nurturing young minds left an indelible mark on countless students during his tenure.
Jinny was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He is survived by his brother Patrick; son Tyler; stepson Christian Winters; daughter-in-law Jasmin; his 5 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Julius Gordon Winters and Marcelle Dion Winters, as well as step-sister Celia Farough.

1. Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated and unless under special circumstances not allowed in processions. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate in honoring our veterans.
2. Safety First: Please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately. Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time. Also please do not forget your sun screen.
3. Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

Funeral Processions/Escorts
EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession.
At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way. Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.
If you choose to fly a Flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic.
