US ARMY RETIRED VETERAN – VIETNAM ERA/DEPUTY CONSTABLE

The family of Mr. Bobbie Hall, a US Army (Ret.) Veteran, requests the presence and participation of the San Antonio Patriot Guard at the services and LEO supported procession, and graveside rendering of military honors of their loved one. We are honored to accept this invitation.

CSM – Ret. Bobbie Hall was born May 2, 1936 in Hazard, Kentucky and died March 14, 2024. Prior to being born, his father died of black lung from work in the local coal mine. His mother, having to provide for five children, left Bobbie quite often to his own devices. He attended Hazard public schools until the sixth grade. He then worked in the coal mine himself, later parking cars.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Lajes Field in Terceira, Azores. In the Azores he met Karla, the love of his life. Bobbie and Karla recently celebrated sixty-six years of marriage. They were stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Fort Riley, Kansas; Fort Eustace, Virginia; West Point, New York; Taipei, Taiwan; and finally, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, where he retired. In 1988, he was recalled to active service for Desert Storm. He also served as a captain in the Texas National Guard, as well as a Deputy Constable for Bexar County Justice Precinct No. 2

In civilian life he was employed by the United States Postal Service and later self-employed as the owner of Bob Hall Motors. His interests include political discussion, crossword puzzles, and Hazard history.
